Making something out of (next to) nothing

...in this case beer. After a big house move to a completely new neighborhood and a sizable whack to the credit card in the process, I currently don't have any money for beer (or purchase additional ingredients) but what I do have is a unique set of skills a few leftovers from previous beer making projects.

'Have you got any leftover grains by any chance?'

Can we make a brew that is true with this lot?

Luckily it was with a Coopers Cerveza Extract kit which meant bolting it all together really didn't take that long:

Need to full recipe to admire/shake your head at? Here you go:

ALMIGO'S BARE BONES BUDGET BREW

(These were all leftovers apart from the raw sugar. That cost me $2)

1 x can of Coopers Cerveza extract with water to 20 litres
1 x kg of raw sugar
500 gms of dextrose
US05 yeast
3 gms of Mouteeka hops steeped for 10 mins
18 gms of Cascade hops steeped for 10 mins

Yeah no fruit additions this time ala the Hola Raspberry and I'm still working out whether or not to dry hop but considering this is bulk beer at it's very cheapest, we'll see how we go. By the time I finish this batch, I should have enough coin for a 5 liter all grain batch! Sorted!

Review coming soon!
