First morsel on the tasting plate tonight? A trip to Poland with the buttery like goodness of a Zyweic...
Now apparently the best operating temp for this particular brew is a low 6 degrees. And just so you know it's ripe for the chugging, it comes with a handy temp changing sticker on the back:
Not having a temp gauge handy, I can only assume that's the level of blue I'm looking for here..still, that's a pretty cool looking addition.
Will it be as much fun to drink though? Bang a gong, let's get it on!
What aromas are coming out here?: A bit going on in the smell department here - breads and mashed banana, cloves and just the hint of something smoky. Impressive!
Initial thoughts: Reminds me a bit of the goat. Rich in buttery flavors and caramel tones on the tongue, slight sweetness with just a touch of bitterness at the end.
Overall: Nice and tasty if you like your beers on the rich and buttery flavour side. More than a couple in a session might be a bit full on though. Just a half step down from the goat in terms of the butter but still very tasty.
3.75 out of 5 shades of blue.
